Demeter:Goddess of the Harvest

Roman Name: Ceres
Parents: Cronus and Rhea

Biography: Demeter was very giving to the mortals. She gave them bountiful harvest when she was pleased but gave them famines when she was angry with them. She taught the mortals how to sow and plant seeds. She also is a Goddess of fertility. When her daughter, Persephone, was taken by Hades she searched the Earth for her.

Hephaestus: God of Craftsmen

Parents: Zeus and Hera

Biography: Of all the gods and goddesses on Mt. Olympus, Hephaestus was the least good looking. In fact his mother Hera, hated him for his looks. She threw him down the stairs of Mt. Olympus. To get back at Hera, he trapped her in a magic chair and she had to beg to get out. He was the only god who was born with a handicap, his deformed foot. He was unwillingly married to Aphrodite but loved her. She cheated on him many times but he was content. He is happiest in the forge and is very good natured.

Ares: God of War

Biography: Ares was always a very bloody person. He always went straight to war without talking about an issue. His parents hated him just like his brother, Hephaestus. He thrived in violence and wars. He was the most savage of all the gods. Although he seems so powerful he is not as powerful as he appeared. There were times when he joined wars and was driven off the the field by mortals. Ares was a blood thirsty animal that showed no mercy to anyone of anything.

Athena: Goddess of Strategy

Biography: Athena was brought forth by massing up the thoughts of Zeus springing out of his head. She was born fully grown and dressed in armor on the battlefield. The way she was born made her hate war, she only waged them to fight for the side of the right people. She never was in a war that she didn't win. She made the best strategies and was great with architecture. She founded the city of Athens and made the first Olive tree. Due to strategy, Athena was noted as one of if not the strongest goddess.

Hera: Queen of the gods

Roman Name: Juno
Parents: Cronus and Rhea

Biography: There was only one thing that Hera wanted, a perfect family. In order to achieve her wish she had to marry the perfect husband and have the perfect children. She got the perfect husband by marrying Zeus, the God of the gods. Sadly she never got perfect children. The only children she had, she hated. She is the goddess of marriage and never cheated on Zeus. Hera did not do much because she was always tending to Mt. Olympus. She helped Zeus in many of his decisions with the other gods.

Hades: God of the Underworld

Parents: Cronus and Rhea

Biography: Hades was the most hated of all the gods. He was hated so much that he was banish to under the surface of the Earth. There he started the Underworld and all dead spirits must pass through. He was a very lonely god and was very wealthy. One day he went above the surface and tricked Persephone into eating his fruit. This caused her to spend eternity with him. He was very misunderstood and was very powerful. He ruled over the inside of the Earth and was part of the Big three.

Poseidon: God of the Sea and Land


Symbols: Trident, Horse, and Bull
Roman Name: Neptune
Parents: Cronus and Rhea

Biography: Poseidon is the second most powerful God. He is one of the Big Three. He is the ruler of all the oceans and the land. He was constantly searching for land to take from the humans. He dried up the waters of the people he did not trust and sent tidal waves to people who made him angry. He made the horse out of foam and gave it to the humans as a gift. The realm of the oceans was not given too him until the titans were over thrown.
