Artemis: Goddess of Hunting

Parents: Zeus and Leto

Biography: Artemis was the goddess of the hunt and the moon. She is the twin of Apollo, who is the God of the Sun. Artemis is linked with the moon because that is the symbol of purity.Artemis never married and started a group of young maidens. The group, called the hunt went and searched the world for monsters and shot them with arrows. She protected animals and looked after young children. She was very honest with the people. Her honesty did not keep her from sending plagues to the people though.
